We're supporting a leading engineering business seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join their night shift team.
The Role: You'll be responsible for setting and operating CNC machines, ensuring high-quality output while meeting production deadlines and maintaining safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set and operate Mazak/Heidenhain CNC machines
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and G-code (ISO/Mazatrol)
- Maintain quality standards and 5S practices
- Work to set cycle times and deadlines
- Support continuous improvement (Lean / CI)
- Work flexibly across milling and turning when required
- Assist with cross-training and team development
Requirements:
- Offline programming (Edgecam/Mastercam)
- 5+ years CNC machining experience in manufacturing
- Experience with Mazak/Mazatrol controls
- Strong understanding of milling and turning
- Ability to read engineering drawings and CNC code
- Apprentice trained (preferred)
- Knowledge of Lean, 5S, and Health & Safety
