We are seeking a skilled CNC Turner / Setter to join a well-established precision engineering manufacturer. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced machinist with a strong background in CNC turning to contribute to the production of high-quality, close-tolerance components in a professional manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set and operate CNC lathes to produce high-quality precision components
- Work within a machine shop environment, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately
- Read and make adjustments to existing CNC programs
- Use a range of precision measuring instruments to maintain tight tolerances
- Manage day-to-day machining tasks to ensure smooth workflow and output
- Complete production and quality documentation
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience as a CNC Turner / Setter
- Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Confident using precision measuring equipment
- Experience working with Fanuc-controlled machines (or similar)
- Live tooling experience desirable
Additional Experience (Advantageous):
- Experience working with sub-spindle machines
- Experience using other CNC machines such as mills or EDM
