I am supporting a specialist organisation that delivers high integrity cyber, risk and secure design work into some of the most sensitive government environments in the country. They are expanding the team and hiring a Cyber Security Consultant who can work confidently in complex, high assurance programmes.
What you will be doing:
- Leading on cyber risk advice for critical national systems
- Producing security documentation, policies and risk treatments
- Reviewing technical controls and building clear mitigation plans
- Supporting secure design activity on major transformation projects
- Working directly with senior stakeholders who expect clarity and pace
- Becoming a trusted adviser across multi-discipline engineering teams
What you need:
- Experience in a cyber or security assurance role
- Strong understanding of governance, risk and assurance in sensitive environments
- CISSP, CISM, CCP, or similar certifications
- Baseline technical knowledge across cloud, identity and networks
- Confident communicator able to simplify complex risk for non-technical teams
- Strong ownership mindset with good task management
Nice to have:
- Experience working in secure government programmes
- Knowledge of HMG frameworks, JSP documentation or high assurance design
- Secure by Design, NIST, CAF or GovAssure experience
- Supplier assurance or ISO 27001 audit exposure
- Background in defence or mission critical projects
Requirements:
- SC or DV preferred or willingness to undergo vetting
- Right to work in the UK
- Travel to site when needed
