Senior Quality Inspection Supervisor – London (Greenwich) – £50-60,000 DOE + Bonus + Car Allow. + Ex Bens – Perm
Primary Purpose:
As a Senior Quality Inspection Supervisor, you will play a key role in leading and shaping our inspection processes, ensuring we meet the highest industry standards while fostering a positive and inclusive quality culture. You’ll oversee inspections, implement risk-based methodologies, and manage non-conformance reporting. Just as importantly, you’ll support and inspire your team – focusing on training, development, and well-being – to create a safe, supportive, and high-performing workplace where people can thrive.

Responsibilities:
- Lead and inspire the Quality Inspection Team – providing guidance, resources, and support to help every team member succeed
- Implement a Risk-Based Inspection Methodology – ensuring thorough inspection of high-risk items and smart sampling of low-risk items
- Maintain Compliance with Industry Standards – including IPC 600/610 PCB standards and other key quality requirements
- Manage Non-Conformance Reporting – identify issues and drive timely resolutions using JIRA ITS
- Champion a Strong Quality Culture – set clear inspection standards, encourage ownership, and promote a zero-defect mindset
- Support and Develop Your Team – from training and mentoring to performance and well-being, helping people reach their potential
- Drive Continuous Improvement – lead projects that enhance quality processes and create lasting value
- Collaborate Across the Business – working closely with Manufacturing, Stores, Engineering, HR, and Supplier Quality to keep inspection standards effective and consistent
Requirements:
Education: NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline
Quality & Compliance: Skilled in risk-based inspection methods, non-conformance reporting, and working to recognised industry standards
Leadership: Experience in guiding, mentoring, and supporting teams, with strong communication skills and an inclusive, empathetic approach
Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of inspection techniques, engineering drawings, and IPC 600/610 PCB standards in regulated environments
Tools & Systems: Confident with measurement equipment (calipers, micrometers, shadowgraphs, Talyrond) and quality systems (SAP, JIRA ITS)
Health & Safety: A commitment to safe working practices and promoting the well-being of the team
