Location: Flexible to work out of one of our UK Offices

Hybrid: 2/3 days in office per week

We are seeking a experienced Procurement Leader to join the onshore division of a large energy organisation. In this brand new role, you will define and implement the overall procurement strategy, building out a team to support the development and leadership of this strategic procurement function.

Role Responsibilities

  • Define and implement the overall procurement strategy, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and project requirements to drive procurement transformation.
  • Establish procurement policies, procedures, and frameworks to ensure compliance, consistency, and operational efficiency.
  • Build and maintain a resilient supply chain that supports the company’s growth and sustainability objectives.
  • Oversee the negotiation and execution of complex contracts and strategic supplier agreements.
  • Ensure robust risk management, effective cost control, and thorough performance monitoring across all procurement activities.
  • Develop strategic partnerships with global suppliers and contractors within the offshore renewables industry.

QHSE Responsibilities

  • To have a general understanding of the areas of our QHSE Management System and the company\’s QHSE aims and objectives that are relevant to the role.
  • Comply with the requirements of Group Policies and the responsibilities within the wider QHSE Management System.
  • Promote a proactive health and safety culture focussed on the prevention of work related injury or ill health and continual improvement in our processes / performance
  • Drive environmental sustainability and energy efficiency whilst minimising our environmental impacts and preventing pollution.
  • Stimulate a quality culture that brings values to our business, our customers and other interested parties ensuring quality issues and opportunities for improvement are identified and implemented.

Qualifications

  • CIPS Qualification – desirable
  • Degree in Procurement & Supply Chain Management – preferred
  • Demonstrable experience of procurement management in a relevant industry – considered

Industry Knowledge

  • Background in renewables, energy, oil and gas or similar infrastructure sector.

Career Experience

  • Procurement leadership experience – managing and developing teams
  • Extensive experience in procurement, with a breadth of knowledge in contracts, managing suppliers, procurement strategy and supporting overseas projects.
  • Strong knowledge of contract law, commercial strategy, and risk management principles
  • International Procurement Management – LATAM, APAC will be beneficial
