Job Description Maintenance Engineer (Multi-Skilled) – Manchester – £35,000/year 4 day working week (37hrs) The Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and optimization of plant machinery and equipment, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. The role involves troubleshooting breakdowns, performing preventive maintenance, and responding to emergency repairs. Key responsibilities: Perform planned preventive maintenance (PPM) on machinery, equipment, and systems, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Diagnose and repair faults in production machinery, minimizing downtime and ensuring that machines are returned to operation as quickly as possible. Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system faults using a range of diagnostic tools and techniques. Work with electrical systems, including motors, sensors, PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), and control panels. Collaborate with the production and engineering teams to improve equipment performance and production efficiency.
