We are seeking an experienced Tax Professional to join a global leader in fibre optics and telecommunications in London. As an international manufacturing giant, they interface with global blue-chip technology organisations on an array of UK and international tax matters and require a well-practiced and skillful tax team to oversee their robust operation. Under the direction of the Tax Manager, you will liaise with some of the world’s largest technology companies with a fantastic opportunity to gain tax exposure across global jurisdictions including UK, France, Italy, Norway, USA, China, Hong Kong, South Korea and Australia.

Role Responsibilities

  • Assist the Tax team in international calls for tenders and assist in the follow-up of contracts signed during the implementation phase of submarine cable installation or maintenance projects (analysis of tax risks related to tenders, review of tax and customs clauses).
  • Analyse and propose solutions to resolve tax issues during the project implementation phase.
  • Analyse and study supplier and subcontracting contracts.
  • Provide support in preparation of VAT and corporate tax returns for entities managed by the team located in the UK.
  • Assist with setting up of the deferred tax asset and liabilities and tax true up for the entities managed by the team located in the UK.
  • Check the compliance of invoices issued by the submarine cable division or received from suppliers.
  • Obtain and synthesize the information necessary for tax audits and litigation in the UK and abroad.
  • Participate in the reporting of tax information (provisions, tax disputes, corporate income tax charges, Sarbane‑Oxley SOX).
  • Assist in creating tax processes and documentation for the UK entity and ASN Group branches abroad.
  • Assist in updating transfer pricing documentation in the UK and abroad, including intra‑group agreements.
  • Keep up to date with changes in legislation in the UK and abroad.

Person Specification

  • CTA, ACCA or Part‑ACCA if you have passed taxation exams (TX)
  • Experience as a Tax Associate/ Analyst/ Accountant/ Specialist
  • Demonstrable experience working in a medium/ large firm
  • Experience working in UK Tax and legislation
  • Corporate/Corporation Tax focus, NOT personal tax
