I'm working with a specialist cyber intelligence team that supports financial services, government and critical national infrastructure clients across the UK and Europe. This is a technically focused CTI role, but not really a coding-heavy one. The focus is investigation.

Looking at domains, infrastructure, vulnerabilities, threat actor activity, TTPs, malware reporting and technical indicators, then turning that into intelligence clients can actually use.

What they're looking for:

  • Technical cyber threat intelligence experience
  • Threat actor tracking and actor profile building
  • Vulnerability intelligence
  • Domain and infrastructure investigation
  • OSINT
  • Dark web monitoring or investigations
  • Ability to read technical reporting and identify relevant TTPs
  • VirusTotal rules, YARA or similar matching logic would be useful
  • Strong written output
  • Ability to QC junior analysts' work

This would suit someone who can look at threat activity and explain:

  • What is happening?
  • Why does it matter?
  • How bad is it?
  • Who could be affected?
  • What should be monitored next?

You don't need to be a developer but of course, you would need strong technical judgement, curiosity, and the ability to produce clear intelligence reporting.
