Help Us Build a Culture of Quality and Belonging
We’re looking for a Deputy Quality Leader who is not only passionate about quality but also about people. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll mentor and support a diverse team, helping them grow while embedding a “Right First Time”, prevention-first culture across our operations.
Reporting to the Site Quality Manager, you’ll act as the quality representative for production, ensuring non-conformances are managed effectively, corrective actions are embedded, and deeper root cause practices become second nature. Just as importantly, you’ll be a role model for collaboration, inclusivity, and continuous learning, helping every team member feel empowered to contribute.
Why Join our client?
- Competitive salary, benefits package, and performance bonus.
- A supportive and inclusive culture where diverse perspectives are valued.
- Hybrid working (Friday WFH) and flexibility where possible.
- Opportunity to shape the quality culture of a business on an exciting transformation journey.
- Visible impact – your leadership will directly improve how our people work, learn, and deliver.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and support day-to-day quality operations, stepping in where junior QEs need guidance.
- Take ownership of non-conformance control, corrective actions, and RCA investigations (8D, Fishbone, 5 Whys, FMEA).
- Mentor and develop QEs, QCs, and Support Specialists, ensuring everyone has the confidence and skills to succeed.
- Work in partnership with production, design, supply chain, and project teams to embed quality at the heart of operations.
- Support external and internal audits, ensuring actions are resolved quickly and positively.
- Contribute to next-generation product readiness through proactive risk planning.
- Foster an environment where curiosity, inclusivity, and prevention-first thinking thrive.
About You
- Degree in Engineering or equivalent, with solid experience in quality leadership roles.
- Strong technical knowledge of quality tools and systems (ISO9001 Lead Auditor; Lean Six Sigma Black Belt desirable).
- A natural coach and mentor, with proven experience supporting and developing junior staff.
- Background in highly regulated, zero-error industries such as Automotive, Aerospace, Oil & Gas, Pharma, or Food etc.
- A collaborative, inquisitive problem-solver – focused on why issues occur, not just how to fix them.
- Ideally a current or former Quality Manager looking to make a real impact in a deputy leadership role.
If this sounds like the right role for you, we’d love to hear from you. Please submit your CV!
