Data & Systems Coordinator – Up-to £40,000 – Hybrid – London
We are on the hunt for a talented and driven Data & Systems Coordinator to join one of our key clients in London, they’re a world leading provider of International Trade data for Steel, Metals, Ores, Fuels, and Chemicals. You’ll be joining a growing team of passionate professionals driving forward accessibility to important market data for private and public entities across the globe.
Specifically, within this role you’ll be working with the bespoke in-house online Trade Enquiry System Platform which provides accurate and up-to-date data providing detailed insights of trade flows and broader industry trends globally. This information is vitally important to the operation of the world economy and serves as an indicator supporting strategic decision making across the economy.
This is a Hybrid role working on-site twice per-week and working from home three days per week.
Role Responsibilities:
- Improve the accessibility and usability of data within the Trade Enquiry System (TES)
- Regularly update and manage the content stored within the TES with a view to improving data quality and accuracy wherever possible
- Oversee the active development of the customer facing interface for the TES as well as monitoring the user experience of the system interface
- Assess and interpret market trends and the offerings of competitors in order to drive forward continuous improvement of our product and service offerings
- Produce high quality reports and analysis for both internal and external stakeholders across a variety of businesses and entities
- Support the development of Market Research presentations, providing clear, data-driven insights to assist in the lead generation process for the Sales Team
- Undertake in-depth analysis of large datasets to support and influence strategic decision making across the business and identify opportunities for business growth
- Maintain confidentiality of company data
Required Skills and Experience:
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including extensive use of formulae, pivot tables, data analysis tools, and data visualisation
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint with the ability to create clear and engaging presentations in support of our Market Analyst
- A talent for interpreting large data sets and conveying insights in a clear and concise manner
- An ability to present findings and analysis of datasets defining problems, results, and actionable insights
- Experience using Power BI or similar data visualisation tools such as Tableau or Looker and the ability to produce interactive dashboards would be highly desirable but not a necessity
