The Commercial Director will lead and oversee all commercial and revenue-generating activities across VOL's print and digital platforms, the VOL Online Shop, and the L'Odyssee Membership & Card programme. This strategic leadership role is responsible for driving sustainable revenue growth through advertising, strategic partnerships, luxury retail, and membership acquisition while strengthening the market position of VOL and L'Odyssee as flagship lifestyle brands within the Insignia ecosystem. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in luxury publishing, digital commerce, and premium membership programmes, with the ability to balance commercial performance, brand integrity, and creative excellence.
Advertising & Sponsorship Sales
- Develop and execute the global advertising sales strategy across VOL's print, digital, and social media platforms.
- Secure high-value advertising contracts and strategic brand partnerships with leading luxury brands across the fashion, travel, art, hospitality, automotive, jewellery, and lifestyle sectors.
- Build and maintain long‑term relationships with premium clients, media agencies, and commercial partners.
- Develop compelling media kits, rate cards, sponsorship packages, and bespoke commercial proposals aligned with VOL's luxury positioning.
- Collaborate closely with editorial and creative teams to ensure advertising partnerships are seamlessly integrated into the publication's storytelling and brand experience.
Distribution & Circulation
- Oversee the global distribution strategy for VOL Magazine across luxury hotels, private clubs, premium lounges, boutiques, yachts, airlines, residences, and selected retail partners.
- Establish strategic distribution partnerships that enhance brand prestige and visibility among ultra‑high‑net‑worth individuals (UHNWIs), corporate executives, and luxury travellers.

VOL Online Shop – Commercial Growth
- Lead the commercial expansion of the VOL Online Shop, focusing on curated luxury products, exclusive collaborations, limited‑edition collections, and premium brand partnerships.

- Prepare quarterly commercial reports, forecasts, and strategic recommendations for the Board of Directors.
- Build, mentor, and lead a high‑performing commercial team with clearly defined KPIs and accountability.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Marketing, Media, Communications, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 8–10 years' senior commercial experience within luxury publishing, premium retail, hospitality, luxury travel, or membership‑based businesses.
- Demonstrated success in luxury advertising sales, strategic partnerships, sponsorship development, and membership programme growth.
- Established network across the luxury, travel, lifestyle, fashion, art, and design industries.
