Head of Cards – Financial Services

Our organisation is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Head of Cards to lead the growth and innovation of our card products. In this leadership role, you will drive product development, enhance customer experiences, and expand our card portfolio.

You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams and external partners to ensure our card offerings align with market trends and customer needs, while maximising profitability and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the strategic vision for card products, aligning with business goals.
  • Lead the design, development, and launch of new card products and features in collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
  • Analyse market trends, customer behaviour, and competitors to identify growth opportunities and product innovations.
  • Oversee the day-to-day management of the card portfolio, ensuring profitability, performance, and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with teams across risk, operations, marketing, and customer service for seamless execution.
  • Enhance the cardholder experience through product improvements and customer-focused offerings.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies.
  • Set and track KPIs such as revenue, market share, and customer retention, adjusting strategies as needed.
  • Manage relationships with third-party vendors and partners to strengthen product offerings.
  • Lead and mentor a team, fostering a collaborative, innovative environment.

Professional Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • 7-10 years of experience in financial services, with 3-5 years in leadership roles focused on card products or payments.
  • Deep knowledge of card products, payment systems, and lifecycle management.
  • Proven track record of driving business growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Experience in regulatory compliance and risk management.
  • Knowledge of fintech innovations, mobile payments, and emerging technologies.
  • Preferred: Certified Payments Professional (CPP) or similar certifications.
