Unlike traditional marketplaces, VOL operates on a drop shipping model—partnering with high-end retailers like Harrods, Net-a-Porter, and exclusive independent brands via API integrations. This allows VOL to offer an ever-evolving selection of luxury goods without holding inventory, making it cost-efficient yet exclusive.

  1. Exclusive, hard-to-find luxury items, accessible only through VOL e.g. Hermes Birkin.
  2. Affiliate integrations with high-end retailers, ensuring seamless product discovery.
  3. Editorial-driven commerce, where content and shopping merge to inspire purchases.

Role Overview:

The E-Commerce Manager will oversee the technical and operational execution of the VOL Online Shop, ensuring a seamless and luxury-driven online shopping experience. They will manage the Shopify platform, product uploads, API integrations, and inventory flow, ensuring everything is set up for launch and runs efficiently post-launch.

This role is critical to VOL’s e-commerce infrastructure, requiring strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and an understanding of high-end digital retail.

Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the VOL Online Shop:
  1. Manage and maintain the Shopify platform, ensuring optimal performance and luxury aesthetics.
  2. Oversee product uploads, descriptions, pricing, and metadata optimization.
  3. Work closely with the Creative Director and Partnerships Manager to ensure seamless product flow from brand partners.
  • Work with tech teams to manage affiliate API integrations (Harrods, Net-a-Porter, etc.), ensuring smooth product updates.
  • Optimize product layout, imagery, and descriptions to enhance engagement and conversion.
  • Monitor KPIs, conversion rates, and customer data to improve the shopping experience.
  • Collaborate with third-party partners (Harrods, luxury retailers) for order processing and logistics.
  • Implement interactive shopping tools (e.g., virtual try-ons, lookbooks) to elevate engagement.
  • Track user behavior, conversion rates, and site engagement, implementing UX improvements.
  • Optimize checkout experience, payment integrations, and order flow.
  • Ensure luxury product merchandising and high-quality imagery.
  • Work with the Creative Director to optimize product visuals and descriptions for engagement.
  • Monitor product curation, availability, and inventory accuracy.
  • Ensure the Shopify store is fully functional, with all integrations and products ready before launch.
  • Perform testing to confirm site speed, checkout reliability, and API functionality.
  • Requirements:

    1. 5+ years in e-commerce management, preferably in luxury retail.
    2. Proficiency in Shopify, affiliate marketing, and inventory management.
    3. Strong understanding of UX, digital merchandising, and analytics tools.
    4. Experience working with luxury brands, online marketplaces, and affiliate partnerships.
    5. Ability to collaborate with tech teams, designers, and fulfilment partners.
