At Insights, we believe in the power of self-awareness to unlock potential and create positive change. We’re looking for a Senior Public Relations & External Communications Manager to help us amplify our voice globally and strengthen our reputation as a trusted leader in learning and development and a catalyst for organisational transformation. Reporting to the Head of Brand, you’ll design and deliver an imaginative external communications strategy that further positions Insights as a leading global brand. Building on our global reputation and market position, this role is central in raising awareness, demonstrating and evidencing impact and building long‑term trust.
This is a role for someone who combines strategic thinking with hands‑on delivery – driving and executing high‑impact external communications, including proactive UK and international press and media engagement and thought‑leadership platforms that shift perception and influence the market. Insights is a global learning and development organisation dedicated to helping people understand themselves and others, so they can work better together. Our purpose is simple: to create a world where people truly understand each other, and are inspired to make a positive difference. Through our innovative tools and solutions, we empower individuals and organizations to unlock potential, build stronger teams, and lead with confidence. At Insights, you’ll join a diverse, inclusive community that values curiosity, creativity, and growth—where your ideas matter and your impact is real.
What You’ll Do
- Create and implement an external communications and PR strategy aligned with our goals and values.
- Build visibility and credibility through media engagement, awards programs, and thought‑leadership initiatives.
- Develop strong relationships with journalists, analysts, and influencers to amplify our reach.
- Lead reputational risk and crisis communications with confidence and care.
- Identify and oversee the delivery of new platforms and opportunities—from podcasts to global events, to recognition and awards to share our story widely.
- Work closely with Brand, Marketing, and Sales teams to ensure our messaging is consistent and inclusive.
- Use data and insights to measure impact and continuously improve performance.
What You’ll Bring
- Experience leading external communications and PR strategies in global or complex organisations working with senior leaders.
- Talent for brand narrative and storytelling – turning ideas into messages that connect with diverse audiences aligned to our brand strategy.
- Strategic leadership combined with a willingness to roll up your sleeves and deliver.
- Significant UK and international earned media experience, with established Tier‑1 networks and demonstrable proactive press engagement and secured coverage.
- Commercial awareness, able to link communications activity to reputation, growth and credibility.
- Experience championing external recognition, including awards and industry profiles.
- Calm and clear under pressure, with sound judgment in managing reputational challenges.
- A collaborative approach that values different perspectives and builds trust across teams.
