About us: Insight is a Fortune 500‑ranked global provider of hardware, software, cloud, and service solutions. We guide and empower clients to define, architect, implement and manage technology today while transforming for tomorrow.

The Strategic Communications Manager bridges business strategy and communications planning, translating Insight’s commercial objectives into a consistent narrative platform that channel owners can execute across all external and internal communications. Reporting directly to the President of EMEA, the role partners closely with marketing and business leadership to ensure every message reinforces our strategic priorities, including Insight’s AI‑first positioning and growth ambitions.

Key responsibilities

  • Strategic Communications Planning: Link with Global Insight messaging and translate EMEA strategy into a unified communications strategy and plan aligned to business growth priorities. Develop narrative and messaging frameworks for multiple audiences (clients, partners, teammates, analysts, vendors, and media). Establish quarterly and annual communications plans to deliver against two core imperatives: position Insight as the credible AI‑first solutions integrator in EMEA; drive revenue growth through strategic storytelling and executive visibility.
  • Communications Operating Model & Governance: Build a communication operating rhythm with standardised templates, editorial calendars, and approval processes. Create governance and reporting frameworks for campaigns, executive comms, and internal communications. Produce reusable communications playbooks to ensure message consistency across geographies and functions.
  • Executive Communications & Strategic Influence: Act as a strategic advisor to the President of EMEA and other senior leaders for both internal and external communications. Develop executive visibility plans, including ghostwriting, thought leadership content, analyst/media briefings, and keynote preparation. Define when and how senior leaders should be engaged to support commercial and brand objectives.
  • Campaign & Narrative Integration: Partner with PR, Social Media, and Marketing teams to ensure all external activity aligns with the core narrative platform. Ensure internal campaigns (e.g., all hands, town halls, newsletters, culture initiatives) echo and reinforce strategic positioning. Work with brand and demand generation teams to embed narratives into digital campaigns, ABM, and partner marketing initiatives.
  • Internal Communications Strategy: Collaborate with the internal comms specialist to shape engaging, strategy‑led content for EMEA teammates. Ensure internal messaging mirrors external positioning, reinforcing business strategy, culture, and the employee value proposition. Oversee a coordinated approach to internal communications, owning the master plan, channels, and governance to ensure joined-up messaging across the EMEA business.
  • Change & Culture Communications: Serve as communications lead for regional change management initiatives (e.g., reorganisations, new programmes, technology rollouts). Partner with HR to create communication programmes that support best places to work recognition, diversity, equity & inclusion initiatives, and culture‑building efforts across EMEA.

Key skills and experience required

  • Essential: Proven track record in strategic communications, corporate affairs, or brand strategy within a B2B technology environment. Strong business acumen with the ability to translate commercial priorities into compelling narratives. Experience advising senior executives and aligning multi‑channel communications to business goals. High level of written and spoken English. Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills for multiple audiences.
  • Desirable: Comfortable operating in a matrixed, multi‑country environment with multiple stakeholders. Experience working across EMEA geographies with sensitivity to cultural and market differences. Proficiency in using digital tools for content creation, campaign tracking, and reporting. Demonstrates a high level of problem‑solving and analytical skills, and experience championing change management programmes and continuous improvement initiatives.
