We are looking for a Technology Development Specialist to work within the Partnerships area of Insight. You will support the sales teams by providing expert advice and guidance around specialist vendor solutions, and programme expertise underpinned by commercial excellence, as well as being proactively supporting the wider EMEA Partnerships team in the generation and management of a sustainable pipeline. This role is a Hybrid position; you will be expected to come into the office three times a week as part of your responsibilities.

Key responsibilities:
  • New business identification with account teams, follow up on implementations, ensure client satisfaction, and identify additional opportunities.
  • Build and maintain client relationships by ensuring the client is fully satisfied with the level of interaction and seek to enhance relationships with the account’s executive.
  • Qualification of client requirements and business outcomes to be able to shape solutions and respond to client needs.
  • Execute against the relevant process for your area of expertise for commercial or technical proposals alongside pre‑sales, distribution, or vendor to ensure accuracy and availability of upsell / cross‑sell motion.
  • Collaborate closely with specified teams to develop proactive, measurable plans which align to Insight’s strategic vision, grow market share, and land accretive value to partners.
  • Actively engage in the sales cycle by participating in client calls and/or facilitating on‑site presentations, product demonstrations, value discovery workshops, and/or client immersion experiences.
  • Achievement against allocated financial targets, build and maintain accurate weekly reporting of the pipeline, forecast, and/or activities.
  • Provide advice and guidance to the wider sales team and support on sales enablement activities to ensure they fully understand the solutions offered by Insight to create a broader knowledge and understanding.
  • Support the wider Partnerships team with the creation of the business plan against defined milestones and metrics.
  • Provide regular reviews of activity and focus areas with continuous improvement plans where required.
  • Forge close and meaningful relationships with vendors and distributors to ensure exclusive support on opportunities, allocation of deal registration or allocation partner of record (or similar program).
  • Communicate new product developments and incentives to prospective, existing clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Maximise profitability by understanding all appropriate funding streams or incentives available to Insight and utilising them to their fullest.
  • Maintain relevant technology knowledge, professional knowledge and required certifications or accreditations in line with subject matter expertise by attending professional/educational programs and workshops, reviewing publications, and establishing networks.
  • Support partner and Insight events, conferences, and other engagement activities to strengthen relationships and drive business growth.
Key skills and experience required:
  • Previous experience of working in the IT industry and of driving growth in specialist areas of technology.
  • Deep knowledge of the client landscape and technology trends.
  • Extensive client facing sales experience, wins client confidence and delivers presentations and/or demonstrations with professional authority and ease.
  • Confidence in leading regular business and/or technology reviews with clients and stakeholders.
  • In‑depth knowledge of the partner product strategy and product offerings.
  • Evidence of successful performance to target in a sales or solutions environment.
  • A self‑developer, acts as a role model, invests time in their own development, and encourages others.
  • Experience in building relationships with technology stakeholders to help deliver innovation to the customer.
  • Ability to contribute to development of the strategy and take responsibility for delivering strategic objectives.
  • Demonstrates in‑depth knowledge and the ability to self‑learn the software licensing information necessary to be a key resource.
  • Knowledge of the partnership’s opportunity management process in Salesforce.
  • Ability to develop friendly, positive, and supportive working relationships with clients & partners.
  • Demonstrable ability to effectively present information to internal colleagues and clients.
