Overview

Location: Hamilton Office. 2-3 days a week in office.

Role Purpose

The Sales Development Associate is a key daily resource for clients, ensuring the smooth operational execution of client requests and sales activities. This role is vital in building foundational relationships and driving client satisfaction by acting as an internal advocate and ensuring timely, accurate service delivery. The SDA supports the identification and nurturing of cross-sell and upsell opportunities, demonstrating a client-centric mindset through high levels of accountability. The role’s key focus is to enable additional selling time for the seller(s) they are supporting.

Responsibilities

  • Support the identification, qualification and closure of sales opportunities, driving conversion from leads to close particularly for low complexity technology sales, cross-selling, and up-selling.
  • Act as a client Subject Matter Expert (SME) providing extended support to specialist business areas e.g., Microsoft EAs, cloud.
  • Triage renewals for existing accounts to upsell opportunities and support client retention, collaborating with the Account Executive and producing quotes through to sales order placement.
  • Promote online/Global catalogues, manage additions of parts as clients require them and maintain End Of Life products.
  • Contribute to sales pitches, bids, deal registration and tenders under guidance.
  • Contribute to the account plan (where applicable) under guidance from the account plan owner.
  • Contribute to pipeline coverage and growth across accounts.
  • Become the client\’s primary point of contact for support, serving as the \’emotional glue\’ that ensures customers feel acknowledged and valued.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with multiple stakeholders and be seen as a dependable and trustworthy resource who inspires confidence in others by proactively taking ownership through clear communication.
  • Improve customer satisfaction and assist in escalations.
  • Ensure adherence to standardized processes (e.g., tiered qualification, procurement rules, framework compliance, escalation paths).
  • Proactively collaborate with internal departments for a coordinated, client-focused approach to account growth and to ensure all client requests are picked up within relevant timescales (e.g., Client Operations, Partnerships, Purchasing, POSS etc).
  • Utilize internal CRM systems to produce timely and accurate forecasts, pipeline data and maintain client contacts.
