Sourcing Manager / Milton Keynes / Hybrid / Up to £66,000 Basic Salary
Our client are looking for a Sourcing Manager to join their team and manage the sourcing process for large business needs. This role will work closely with suppliers and include tender processes. This is an excellent opportunity to excel your procurement career with future progression available.
Role & Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic sourcing initiatives to optimise supplier performance, reduce costs, and ensure continuity of supply.
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favourable pricing, quality, and service agreements.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while monitoring performance through key metrics and regular business reviews.
- Run fair and clear tender processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Procurement, Operations, Finance, and Engineering, to align sourcing strategies with business objectives.
- Analyze market trends, supplier capabilities, and risk factors to support informed sourcing decisions and mitigate supply chain disruptions.
- Lead cost‑saving and process improvement projects by leveraging spend analysis, supplier consolidation, and competitive bidding processes.
Essential Skills & Experience
- 3+ years' experience in sourcing or procurement positions
- Experience managing tender processes
- Experience managing high value tenders over £300,000 in value
- Confident making decisions
- Commercial acumen with the ability to balance value, risk and business requirements
- Team player
