The Role
You will be serving our public and private sector clients through a diverse range of projects. Some UK clients may require SC and Police Clearance, so having this would be a distinct advantage.
Responsibilities
- Managing complex Cisco projects for our customers from initial kick-off to successful delivery.
- Monitor/measure timelines, profitability and customer satisfaction for each project.
- Supervise and ensure quality implementation by internal and external resources.
- Manage project risks to resolve issues adversely affecting on-time performance, profitability or customer satisfaction.
- Work closely with Pre-sales Consultants, Engineering and Support teams to ensure seamless delivery through Insight’s Plan->Build->Manage methodology.
- Attend all client and internal meetings pertaining to project delivery.
- Establish goals and objectives, implementation plan and time frames, and implementation team responsibilities for projects.
- Create and manage a full range of project documentation such as PID, meeting minutes, Risk Register, Action Log, Project Plan and handover documentation packages.
- Utilize project management and financial tracking tools to evaluate profitability of the projects assigned.
- Produce project status reports and maintain a lessons learned register aligned with Insight’s continuous improvement programme.
- Provide support and guidance to other team members as an experienced Senior PM.
- Ensure adherence to PMO processes and methodologies and contribute improvement ideas as a senior team member.
- Manage Project Change Control processes and ensure successful project closure and handover.
- Assist and support Pre-Sales activities, RFP/tender responses and client presentations when required.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience delivering IT-related projects, ideally within a Cisco, networking or security environment.
- Hybrid-based role, with occasional travel to Insight offices and client sites (depending on project requirements).
- Experience managing multiple projects on time, to budget and to quality.
- PMP or Prince 2 Project Manager certification.
- SC and NPPV3 cleared (or willingness to obtain clearance).
- Strong project delivery and planning skills with effective report writing.
- Experience liaising with 3rd parties and coordinating across multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to quickly understand customer requirements, project outputs, constraints, and issues.
- Independent and collaborative team player with pre-sales experience and bid responses.
- Persuasive, encouraging, and motivating leadership with excellent communication skills.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with focus on customer outcomes and attention to detail.
- Problem-solving ability and initiative.
You will be part of the Insight EMEA PMO team, which resides within the EMEA Services Delivery function. This is responsible for delivering professional and managed services to our clients across a full range of technology and software offerings, delivering a scaled, consistent client experience.
