The EMEA Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team delivers strategic financial insights and analysis to optimize performance, support informed decision-making, and drive sustainable growth across the region—both organically and through acquisitions.

As a Financial Analyst within the EMEA FP&A team, you will play a key analytical and collaborative role. You’ll be responsible for reporting and analysing financial performance, partnering with the broader finance function, business leaders, and FP&A colleagues to ensure decisions are financially sound and aligned with strategic objectives. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and strategic value of financial data across the region. You will produce high-quality reports, promote data governance, and deliver actionable insights that enhance business performance. A key focus will be on improving the quality of information through streamlined processes and the integration of modern technologies.

Key responsibilities

  • Reporting & Collaboration: Develop, validate, and publish accurate, high-quality financial reports by leveraging data from multiple systems and sources. Collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure reporting meets strategic and operational needs.
  • Data Validation & Governance: Conduct analyses to ensure extracted data aligns with reported financials and is consistent across all sources. Partner with teams to maintain stable, accurate, and well-managed data sources that support reliable business performance analysis.
  • Data Interpretation: Translate complex, raw data into clear, actionable insights that drive informed decision-making and enhance business clarity.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly and quarterly financial reports, including cost data, sales transactions, and headcount. Compare actuals against prior periods, budgets, and performance benchmarks to support business planning and decision-making.
  • Advanced Analysis: Support the team in identifying patterns, trends, and correlations in data. Communicate these insights to stakeholders to inform decisions, forecast trends, enhance processes, and understand client behavior.
  • Data Visualization: Present financial and management information through clear, visually engaging formats that highlight key insights and support executive-level understanding.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Provide ongoing support to business users and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders across Operations and Finance. Act as a trusted advisor on financial matters.
  • Insight & Recommendations: Deliver actionable insights and strategic recommendations to senior leadership based on in-depth financial data analysis.

Key skills and experience required

  • Educated to degree level or can demonstrate equivalent work experience with some appreciation of financial reporting.
  • Experience of working within a high performing team within a fast-paced, target driven environment.
  • Fully conversant with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, and Word) including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to develop in-depth knowledge and understanding of systems capabilities, end-user’s information needs, and underlying business practices.
  • Continuously updates personal knowledge of industry-leading technology, learns new skills, and adapts to changes in technology.
  • Ability to analyse complex and diverse information and from that make clear and effective presentations and reports.
  • Good numerical skills, ability to manipulate large volumes of complex data and carry out detailed analysis.
  • Experience in traditional database development and analysis (SQL, PowerBI, SSRS, etc.)
  • Possesses the ability to work productively, efficiently, and effectively with initiative and drive under tight timescales and pressure whilst maintaining good attention to detail and quality.
  • Experience of working within a globally diverse environment, showing an understanding of and keen interest in equality, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good numerical skills, ability to manipulate large volumes of complex data and carry out detailed analysis.
  • Ability to identify and implement process improvements and changes.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly build relationships.
