Commercial LNG Operator
Location: London, UK
£100,000 to £120,000 p.a. + Generous Performance Bonus & Benefits
Our Client is seeking a skilled Commercial LNG Operator to join their team in London team.
This is a business critical position, where your input may be required 365 to ensuring seamless LNG vessel operations and cargo management.
The role involves close collaboration and commercial decision making with Traders as well as Terminals, Inspectors, Loss Teams, Vessel Agents/Owners and Customers
Key Responsibilities
- Manage logistics for global LNG cargo operations, ensuring efficient and compliant product movements.
- Support and advise the Front Office on operational matters, including drafting term sheets.
- Evaluate optimization trades and strategies, assessing risk/return to enhance portfolio performance.
- Analyze spot LNG trading/chartering opportunities and strip deals using optimization tools to maximize economic value and mitigate operational risk.
- Oversee cargo operations: pre- and post-voyage requirements, vessel transit optimization, vetting, quality assurance, surveyor appointments, and contract compliance.
- Confirm pricing and volumes of all payables and receivables with counterparts and vendors, including demurrage.
- Build and maintain strong industry relationships by developing a robust professional network.
Essential Experience
- 5+ years of experiencein LNG or LPG cargo operations or a similar role in the petroleum/energy sector
- Ability to handle on-call responsibilities 365
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Proven ability to perform effectively in a high-paced, trading-focused environment.
- Demonstrated drive for value creation and a strong commercial acumen.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
