Responsibilities Develop and maintain enterprise architecture roadmaps aligned with business strategy for Insurance, Pensions, and Investments.
Define and communicate target-state architecture models supporting growth, modernization, efficiency, resilience, and regulatory compliance.
Ensure alignment between business capabilities, technology investments, and enterprise technology strategies.
Evolve architectural standards, principles, governance frameworks, and reference architectures.
Oversee and assure solution architecture and design across multiple programs and portfolios.
Provide guidance throughout discovery, feasibility, design, and delivery phases.
Produce and review key architecture artefacts (e. g., solution designs, decision records, roadmaps, models).
Define and support scalable, resilient cloud and infrastructure architectures (public, private, hybrid).
Guide cloud adoption, infrastructure transformation, and ensure compliance with security and cloud standards.
Define application and integration architecture patterns (API-first, microservices, event-driven) for modern digital platforms.
Simplify and rationalize legacy technology estates and promote reuse of integration services and platforms.
Support data platform and information architecture decisions (governance, analytics, privacy, regulatory).
Ensure solutions address non-functional requirements: security, availability, resilience, scalability, performance, and maintainability.
Participate in architecture governance forums, assess risks/dependencies, and recommend mitigation strategies.
Build strong relationships and influence direction with engineering, platform, product, security, and delivery teams.
Communicate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Support senior leadership in technology decision-making and investment planning.
Qualifications Leverage experience in enterprise, application, integration, data, infrastructure, cloud, and security architecture in large-scale environments.
Demonstrate strong knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), containerization, and platform engineering.
Utilize expertise in API-led, event-driven, microservices, and integration patterns.
Work within Agile, Dev Ops, and product-centric delivery models.
Apply knowledge of security, resilience, disaster recovery, and regulatory controls.
Participate in and contribute to architecture governance boards and documentation.
Bring experience in Financial Services, Insurance, Pensions, or Investments, and knowledge of UK financial regulations. (Desirable) Familiarity with digital transformation, emerging technologies (AI, automation), and architecture modelling tools. (Desirable) Exhibit strong analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
