Commodities Trader Based in London or Dubai ~ Base salaries between £100-200,000 p.a. are welcomed ~30-40% of P&L available to experienced Commodity Derivatives Traders ~ Annual Desk costs $250,000 ~ VaR £3 Million Join a newly established Derivatives Commodity Trading firm, who have significant backing from both Institutional and Private Equity, are looking to rapidly grow their Commodity Trading team with funding for up to 8 Commodity Derivative Traders. Responsibilities: Strategic Trading Execution : Develop and execute sophisticated trading strategies within the listed commodities sector. Risk Oversight : Proactively identify and manage market risks, ensuring strategies align with the company’s robust risk management framework and regulatory requirements. Performance Management : Drive financial performance by setting and achieving profit targets, continuously refining trading strategies to maximise returns. Market Representation : Serve as the primary contact for brokers, exchanges, and other external stakeholders, ensuring seamless trading operations and strong market relationships. Market Research and Insights : Analyse and interpret market trends, geopolitical factors, and regulatory changes, incorporating these insights into trading strategies to capitalise on new opportunities. Compliance and Governance : Ensure strict adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies, maintaining the highest standards of integrity and transparency in all trading activities.
