We are looking for a Business Intelligence Developer with a genuine interest in data, reporting and how information helps a business make better decisions. This role is ideal for someone early in their BI career who wants hands‑on experience, close mentorship and the chance to develop quickly within a supportive and structured environment.

You will work closely with stakeholders across the business to understand reporting needs, translate those into clear BI solutions and help shape how data is presented and consumed. Rather than just maintaining dashboards, you will contribute to improving how reporting rules are defined, managed and evolved, supporting both day‑to‑day insight and wider change initiatives.

This is a business that believes strongly in developing its people. There is a proven track record of internal progression and structured development, supported by established graduate and apprenticeship programmes. For the right person, there may also be future opportunities to progress their learning through Level 4 or Level 5 qualifications in data or AI, depending on performance and business needs.

What We Offer

  • Starting salary of £28,000 plus £2,000 annual bonus
  • 4 days per week in the office – this is essential to support learning, collaboration and development
  • A clear pathway for progression within a business known for promoting from within
  • Structured support, mentoring and on‑the‑job learning
  • A collaborative environment where you will work alongside experienced BI and data professionals
  • Exposure to real‑world projects with tangible business impact

Key Responsibilities

  • Building and maintaining BI dashboards and reporting applications in line with evolving business rules
  • Working with stakeholders and Business Analysts to gather requirements and translate them into clear, practical BI solutions
  • Supporting business change projects and helping improve the performance and effectiveness of reporting systems
  • Ensuring changes in source systems are accurately reflected within reporting and dashboards
  • Contributing within an Agile environment, managing your workload in line with team priorities
  • Providing support for BI‑related issues and contributing to continuous improvement of reporting processes
  • Actively engaging in training and development, with a focus on growing both technical and commercial understanding

About You

  • Around 1 year of experience using BI tools such as Qlik, Power BI, Tableau or similar
  • A strong interest in data, business intelligence and how reporting supports decision making
  • Good Excel skills, including PivotTables and data manipulation
  • An analytical mindset with a willingness to learn and develop new technical skills
  • Confident communicator who can engage with stakeholders at different levels
  • A collaborative approach and desire to learn from more experienced colleagues in an office environment
  • Degree or equivalent in a relevant subject such as Data, Computer Science, Mathematics or similar is beneficial but not essential

This role offers a rare opportunity for someone at the early stage of their BI career to gain practical experience, build strong foundations and grow within a business that genuinely invests in its people.
