A purpose-led insight and events organisation is seeking a Delegate Engagement Manager to join its high-performing Events team. This role plays a critical part in delivering market-leading delegate experiences across the businesses face‑to‑face, virtual and hybrid events portfolio, ensuring every attendee has a seamless, engaging and data‑driven journey. Sitting within Event Operations and reporting into the Head of Event Operations, the Delegate Engagement Manager will take ownership of event technology platforms, delegate engagement strategy and data integrity, while managing a Delegate Engagement Administrator and working closely with marketing, insight, IT and finance teams.
Role & Responsibilities of the Delegate Engagement Manager:
- Own and manage the end‑to‑end delegate journey across all events, ensuring a seamless and engaging experience.
- Deliver and optimise event technology solutions including registration, apps, virtual hubs and scheduling tools.
- Develop and manage delegate communications in line with wider marketing activity.
- Act as the internal expert on event technology platforms (particularly Cvent).
- Implement and improve event technology processes to drive efficiency and consistency.
- Oversee onsite registration and check‑in solutions.
- Ensure data accuracy and maintain an integrated delegate data journey across systems.
- Manage and support the Delegate Engagement Administrator and event delivery teams.
Desirable Skills & Experience of the Delegate Engagement Manager:
- Strong experience using event technology platforms (ideally Cvent).
- Proven background in delegate management for large‑scale virtual and in‑person events.
- Confident project manager with excellent organisational skills.
- Strong attention to detail, particularly around data and systems.
- Ability to influence stakeholders and build effective working relationships.
- Experience managing or supporting junior team members.
