We are supporting a major government-backed programme seeking an experienced Senior Planner to join a highly secure and complex delivery environment. This is a long-term opportunity for a proactive planning professional with strong Primavera P6 expertise and experience operating within large-scale engineering, infrastructure, defence, or highly regulated programmes.
This role will play a critical part in maintaining schedule integrity, supporting programme delivery, and driving effective planning practices across project teams.
Key Responsibilities- Maintaining and managing Integrated Master Schedules (IMS)
- Delivering planning and Earned Value Management (EVM) analysis and reporting
- Conducting schedule forecasting, variance analysis, and critical path analysis
- Supporting business rhythms and project controls activities
- Producing planning deliverables in line with programme governance requirements
- Promoting planning best practice across project and programme teams
- Leading planning meetings and stakeholder engagement sessions
- Supporting the continuous improvement of planning processes, procedures, and tools
- Developing strong working relationships across programme and operational teams
- Supporting emergent projects and additional planning activities where required
- Active DV Clearance (non-negotiable)
- Strong Primavera P6 background
- Proven experience within project controls and programme planning environments
- Strong understanding of planning fundamentals and critical path analysis
- Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and schedule performance analysis (SPI)
- Confident leading planning discussions and promoting planning best practice
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with project managers, engineers, technical teams, and senior stakeholders
- Experience adding measurable value to programmes and project delivery
Full-time onsite in Aldermaston 18-month contract opportunity £55 per hour umbrella.
