An established and growing insurance organisation is seeking an experienced Claims Manager to lead a high-performing Commercial Claims team. This is an excellent opportunity for a people-focused leader with strong commercial insurance claims experience and a passion for developing teams. Working within a dynamic and collaborative environment, you will take ownership of a team of Claims Handlers and Claims Executives, driving performance, enhancing technical capability, and ensuring exceptional service delivery for clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and develop a team of Claims Handlers and Claims Executives
- Conduct regular one-to-ones, performance reviews, and development planning
- Drive team performance through effective coaching, mentoring, and leadership
- Oversee day-to-day commercial claims operations, ensuring service excellence
- Implement and support operational strategies, policies, and procedures
- Analyse management information and performance data to identify improvement opportunities
- Work closely with key stakeholders across the business to enhance service delivery and team capability
- Manage escalated client queries and complaints in line with regulatory requirements
About You
- Previous managerial or team leadership experience within the commercial insurance claims market
- A minimum of 3 years' experience leading and developing teams
- Strong commercial insurance claims knowledge and technical expertise
- A proven track record of improving team performance and service delivery
- Excellent communication, coaching, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience using management information and reporting data to drive decision-making
- Cert CII qualification (or currently working towards it) would be advantageous
