You will operate in a highly confidential, politically sensitive environment, acting as a key coordination point between elected representatives, internal council teams, and external stakeholders. The role combines diary and executive support with event coordination, communications, and civic administration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive PA support to senior civic officeholders, ensuring efficient day-to-day operations
  • Manage complex diaries, scheduling engagements, travel time, and competing priorities
  • Produce weekly itineraries, briefing notes, correspondence, and draft speeches
  • Act as the primary liaison between the mayoral office, council members, officers, and external stakeholders
  • Support the planning and delivery of civic events, receptions, and official functions
  • Coordinate arrangements for mayoral charity events, including administrative and promotional support
  • Oversee office administration including confidential mail handling, records management, and documentation control
  • Supervise support staff, delegating duties and monitoring day-to-day performance
  • Manage civic assets including regalia, vehicles, and associated maintenance schedules
  • Support budget tracking, petty cash management, and charitable account administration
Essential Skillset
  • Proven experience in a senior PA, EA, or executive support role
  • Strong diary and schedule management within a fast-paced environment
