Our client who are in the manufacturing industry are currently seeking a Buyer to join their team to work closely with suppliers for procurement and internal teams for delivery materials on time. This is an excellent opportunity to excel your buying career with future progression available.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Reading technical drawings and calculating materials needed for projects
- Attend supplier meetings
- Manage supplier relationships
- Source new suppliers to work with
- Liaise with project managers and manufacturing team
- Specify best materials for the project
Essential Skills & Experience:
- 3+ years working in a similar buyer position
- Experience buying materials including plastics, timbers and metals
- Good negotiating skills
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings
- Team player
