A growing UK-based business is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead its accounts department and oversee all day-to-day financial operations. This is a pivotal role, reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with senior leadership, alongside Sales and Operational teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the full finance function, ensuring timely processing of sales and purchase invoices.
- Manage VAT returns and liaise with overseas accountants for international compliance.
- Prepare and provide payroll information, including commission calculations, to payroll providers.
- Administer weekly subcontractor payments and manage CIS returns to HMRC.
- Monitor and reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and ensure accurate cash flow management.
- Produce statutory accounts to Trial Balance stage and liaise with external accountants.
- Develop insightful management reports for senior leadership.
- Support directors with HR-related administration, including contracts and appointment letters.
- Review and improve financial procedures to enhance productivity and efficiency.
Person Specification
- Proven experience in a similar Finance Manager role, including managing a small team.
- Strong working knowledge of accounting systems and advanced Excel skills.
- Confident user of MS Office applications.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and thrive in a busy, multi-tasking environment.
- Strong communication skills, able to collaborate across all levels of the business.
