Rate: Β£485 – Β£534 per day (Umbrella)

We are currently supporting a well-established organisation based in Birmingham as they look to recruit a Finance Business Partner on an initial contract until October, with the potential for extension. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a high-profile role within a dynamic finance function, providing strategic financial insight and partnering with senior stakeholders on a major transformation programme.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders across the business, providing clear financial guidance and challenging where necessary to support commercial decision-making.
  • Ensure robust financial governance across projects, with a strong focus on cost control, compliance with IFRS standards, and accurate budgetary management.
  • Take ownership of the month-end close process and contribute to the preparation of year-end accounts and audit requirements.
  • Produce insightful financial analysis and reporting around forecasting, cost performance, and cash flow.
  • Continuously improve finance processes and ensure the integrity of financial data and reporting systems.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with proven experience in large-scale or complex project environments.
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills – able to influence and challenge at a senior level.
  • High level of financial and business acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Advanced Excel skills and good working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
  • Proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to work at pace in a changing environment.
