We are currently supporting a well-established organisation based in Birmingham as they look to recruit a Finance Business Partner on an initial contract until October, with the potential for extension. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a high-profile role within a dynamic finance function, providing strategic financial insight and partnering with senior stakeholders on a major transformation programme.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders across the business, providing clear financial guidance and challenging where necessary to support commercial decision-making.
- Ensure robust financial governance across projects, with a strong focus on cost control, compliance with IFRS standards, and accurate budgetary management.
- Take ownership of the month-end close process and contribute to the preparation of year-end accounts and audit requirements.
- Produce insightful financial analysis and reporting around forecasting, cost performance, and cash flow.
- Continuously improve finance processes and ensure the integrity of financial data and reporting systems.
What Weβre Looking For:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with proven experience in large-scale or complex project environments.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills β able to influence and challenge at a senior level.
- High level of financial and business acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Advanced Excel skills and good working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
- Proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to work at pace in a changing environment.
