Our client, a well-established leader in the construction industry, are seeking a skilled professional to join their team as an Estimator. You will play a vital role in accurately estimating project opportunities and overseeing costings on projects.
Role and responsibilities
- Breakdown costs include labour and materials
- Liaise with suppliers on costs for upcoming projects and negotiate prices
- Producing detailed pricing proposals and visualizations.
- Working with Project Managers
- Work with Site Managers to discuss any variations
Experience and expertise
- Previous experience in an Estimating, Quantity Surveyor or Cost Management position
- Experience in the construction industry would be beneficial
- Strong understanding of quantifying and taking off materials.
- Experience using an estimating software
- A self-starter with strong problem-solving abilities.
- A team player who can also work independently.
