We’re working with a local authority in South West London seeking an experienced Estates Surveyor to support their property and asset management team on a 6-month contract. This role plays a key part in managing a diverse commercial property portfolio, ensuring value is maximised through effective lease renewals, rent reviews, acquisitions, and disposals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead on rent reviews and lease renewals for commercial properties.
  • Manage acquisitions, disposals, and valuations across a mixed-use estate.
  • Provide strategic property advice to internal departments and senior stakeholders.
  • Oversee lease negotiations, licences, easements, and wayleaves.
  • Ensure compliance with RICS standards and local government procedures.

Essential Criteria:

  • MRICS or FRICS qualified.
  • Proven experience with commercial lease renewals and rent reviews.
  • Strong local government experience in property/estates management.
  • Knowledge of public sector asset management, valuation standards, and planning processes.

Contract Details:

  • Duration: 6 months
  • Rate: Β£400–£500 per day (via umbrella)
  • Location: Morden-based, hybrid working (3 days in-office, 2 from home)
