A large non-for-profit organisation are currently seeking a Legal Compliance Manager to join their team to assist the Legal Compliance Team mainly focused on financial crime. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience for a globally recognised organisation and grow your Legal Compliance experience.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively as an active and engaged member of the wider Legal Team, building strong relationships with colleagues across the organisation.
- Contribute to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and collaborative organisational culture through cross-departmental working.
- Support the delivery of the Legal Compliance team’s strategic priorities and operational objectives.
- Provide assistance in the effective identification, management, and oversight of key compliance risks.
- Lead and coordinate agreed compliance projects and workstreams, as directed by the Legal Compliance Lead, which may include areas such as conflicts of interest, policy governance, Speak Up/whistleblowing investigations, and financial crime risk reporting.
- Partner with and advise stakeholders across the organisation on risk assessments, policy development and enhancement, procedures and tools, as well as the monitoring, reporting, and continuous improvement of risks, incidents, and action plans.
- Support the ongoing enhancement of the company’s internal control framework, risk management practices, and policy and procedural environment.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- 2+ years’ experience working in a Compliance Manager position.
- Experience in Financial Crime.
- Degree in Law would be beneficial.
- Project Management experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- An excellent communicator.
- Hard-working and ambitious.
