Our client who are in the Point of Sale industry are currently seeking a Design Engineer to join their team to assist in modifying existing and designing new bespoke displays for clients. This is an excellent opportunity to excel your design career with future progression available.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Use Solidworks to create retail furniture
- Provide technical support and assembly drawings to support the sales team in quoting
- Create and maintain engineering drawings and specifications to the customers' needs
- Using the Product Lifecycle Management system to complete drawings
- Attend client meetings
- Liaise with project managers and manufacturing team throughout the product prototype process
- Produce detailed reports from meetings regarding key points
- Specify best materials for the project with regards to project
- Liaise with clients regarding specific requirements
- Creating installation manuals
- Update planning schedules
Essential Skills & Experience:
- 3+ years working in a similar position in the Point of Sale industry
- Confidence to speak to clients
- Experience on Solidworks
- Experience using the Adobe Creative Suite
- Team player
