Accounts Assistant – Insurance / City of London / £30,000 – £40,000

Overview:

My client, a leading specialist insurance and reinsurance company based in the city, are currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis. The role will report directly into the Finance Manager.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure reporting and accounts are captured correctly
  • Perform reconciliations
  • Processing of underwriting, premium, and claims transactions under delegated authority agreements
  • Liaise with underwriters, brokers, cover holders and communicate with all stakeholders
  • Produce, monitor and complete Bordereaux oversight and MI reports
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • 2+ years experience working within Accounts
  • Insurance industry experience
  • Experience in the Lloyd’s and London market
  • Good Microsoft Excel skills
  • Great communications skills and attention to detail
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Data Analytics, Business, Economics or a related field

Package:

  • Salary dependent on experience, ranging between £30,000 – £40,000
  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays
  • Office based 4 days per week, WFH 1 day per week
