We are seeking an experienced MEP Commissioning Manager to represent the client across the delivery of mission‑critical data centre projects. You will lead all commissioning activities from design through to handover, ensuring systems are delivered, tested, and operational in line with design intent, programme, and the highest standards of resilience, uptime, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and deliver the commissioning strategy across all project phases
- Review and approve Commissioning Management Plans and test procedures
- Oversee Level 1–5 commissioning (FAT through to IST)
- Provide technical oversight of MEP design to ensure commissionability and resilience (N/N+1/2N)
- Lead commissioning of critical systems including electrical, mechanical, controls, and fire systems
- Witness FAT, SAT, and Integrated Systems Testing (IST)
- Act as the client’s technical lead, managing contractors, consultants, and vendors
- Drive quality, compliance, and documentation standards in line with ASHRAE, CIBSE, and Uptime Institute
- Manage risks, defects, and commissioning programme milestones
- Ensure seamless handover to operations with full documentation and training
Candidate Profile
- 8–15+ years’ experience in MEP commissioning within data centres or mission‑critical environments
- Proven delivery of large‑scale projects (hyperscale or colocation)
- Strong technical expertise across electrical systems (UPS, generators), cooling systems, and BMS/EPMS
- Deep understanding of Level 1–5 commissioning and IST processes
- Experience working client‑side or in a client‑representative role preferred
- Degree qualified in Engineering; Chartered status (e.g., CIBSE or Institution of Engineering and Technology) desirable
