Our client, a leading global reinsurer in London, seeks a Senior Business Development Analyst to deliver client analytics, research, and data-driven insights that inform their Client Management strategy. You will conduct quantitative analysis of internal and external data to develop insights into client behaviour, reinsurance programs, and market positioning. Working with Underwriting and senior stakeholders, you will produce reports, models, and client-facing materials that drive strategic decision-making and enhance client engagement.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing Client Data & Analytics insights to enhance Client Management approaches;
  • Supporting Client Segmentation strategy through data sourcing and insights delivery;
  • Conducting detailed quantitative analysis of client behaviour and reinsurance programs;
  • Producing core Management Information reports including client comparative analysis and ad hoc research;
  • Contributing to bespoke reporting and strategic projects in partnership with senior underwriting teams.

The successful candidate will have experience in an analytical role, preferably in insurance or financial services. Consulting or underwriting experience would be an asset. You must be proficient in Microsoft Excel (intermediate to advanced level) and PowerPoint, with the ability to create detailed charts and presentations. Power BI dashboard experience is valued.

You will demonstrate excellent research and analytical skills, including the ability to manipulate large datasets, reconcile data from different perspectives, and present findings clearly. Strong verbal and written communication, ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and collaborative working style are essential. You should prioritize workload efficiently, seek feedback actively, and contribute toward team goals.
