This leading international reinsurer is recruiting for a maternity contract, senior level Accountant with a strong background in insurance to join a wide team with responsibilities across reporting and FP&A.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare regulatory submissions for European entities including Lloyd's QMA, Solvency UK, US/Canadian Situs, TRIA, NAIC, CBI QRTs, and statutory financial statements.
- Support monthly and quarterly close processes, ensuring accuracy of transactions and financial disclosure.
- Analyse regional results for management and board reporting.
- Support the regional annual budgeting process.
- Support business partnering to add value across relevant teams.
- Liaise with internal and external auditors.
- Contribute to project work across Finance and wider business teams.
Requirements
- Qualified accountant (ACA or equivalent) with demonstrable insurance industry experience (Lloyd's experience preferable).
- Solid knowledge of US/UK GAAP and regulatory reporting standards.
- Advanced Excel skills with excellent numerical ability.
- Proven problem solving and analytical capabilities.
- Self-motivated with a methodical, thorough approach to work.
