An established marine insurance provider is seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join their team on a fixed-term basis for 12 months.
This is a varied and hands-on role covering the full credit control cycle: producing and issuing premium and contra debt statements to brokers and members, chasing outstanding balances by phone and email, and working closely with underwriting teams to resolve unpaid premiums.
You'll investigate incoming remittances to ensure premiums are correctly applied, manage cash allocation, and keep unallocated cash and aged debt to a minimum.
The role also involves processing return premiums, brokerage and credit refunds, setting up and verifying new payee bank details, and resolving offsets and internal or external queries in a timely manner.
You'll take a rotating share of daily cash receipt management within the team, support colleagues during absences, and contribute ideas for streamlining processes.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in credit control, claims processing or a similar finance role, ideally within insurance.
Familiarity with financial systems would be an advantage.
Strong Excel skills, sharp attention to detail, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment are essential, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills and a proactive, collaborative approach.
Our client is committed to diversity in all of its forms and operates an inclusive recruitment process.
