We\’re working with a leading Lloyd\’s market insurer on an exciting opportunity to join their IFRS 17 team as an Interim Reporting Accountant . This role offers visibility, variety, and the chance to be part of a high-calibre team during a pivotal time in industry reporting transformation.The Opportunity You\’ll take a lead role in delivering their IFRS 17 quarterly and annual reporting. From managing the IFRS 17 expense process and producing consolidated results, to crafting insightful variance commentary for senior stakeholders—this role covers the full reporting cycle.This is an ideal opportunity for a technically minded, analytically strong individual who enjoys the challenge of translating complex accounting data into robust, accurate reporting outputs and supporting continuous improvement.Responsibilities Owning the quarterly IFRS 17 results process, including preparation of consolidated financials and commentaryManaging assumptions, reconciliations, and allocation of expenses under IFRS 17Collaborating across finance teams and Group Reporting to ensure accurate consolidation and upload of journalsSupporting preparation of MI packs, financial statements and audit-ready disclosuresResponding to queries from Head Office, auditors, and internal stakeholdersHelping to maintain and enhance reporting templates and documentationContributing to process improvement and supporting ad hoc finance projectsAbout You You\’re a qualified accountant (ACA or equivalent) with at least 5 years\’ post-qualified experience and proven exposure to IFRS 17 in a reporting environment. Your technical insurance accounting knowledge is excellent, and you\’re confident navigating complex reconciliations, working across multiple platforms, and explaining results to senior stakeholders.You\’ll bring Strong knowledge of IFRS 17, IFRS 4, and UK GAAPAdvanced Excel skills (PowerPivot/Power Query a bonus)Experience with consolidation/reporting toolsClear, confident communication and stakeholder management skillsA proactive mindset with excellent attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlinesThis is a fantastic interim opportunity to join a high-performing finance function within a respected Lloyd\’s market insurer.Our client is committed to diversity in all of its forms and operates an inclusive recruitment process.
