The predicted salary is between 70000 - 90000 £ per year.

Our client, a well established company in the London insurance market, seeks an experienced catastrophe modeller to lead their catastrophe modelling function within the P C Wholesale division, supporting delegated authority and open market brokers with US account placements.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering cat modelling analysis and presenting results to brokers, underwriters and clients
  • Developing team workflows, reporting tools and data quality standards
  • Managing vendor relationships and event response reporting
  • Training and mentoring junior team members
  • Keeping up-to-date with advancements in the modelling field
  • Assisting other divisions when required

Experience and skills required:

  • Advanced catastrophe modelling experience - Moody's (RMS) Risk Modeller preferred
  • GeoSpatial experience
  • Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Excel, SQL and Power BI; Python/R/VBA a plus
  • Cat modelling qualification preferred; ACII desirable
