We are recruiting a reliable and professional 7.5 Tonne (C1) Driver to carry out multidrop deliveries across Shropshire and Mid Wales. This role requires a strong ability to work independently while meeting delivery schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a 7.5 tonne vehicle (C1) safely
- Adhere to Driver Hours Regulations and Working Time Directive
- Complete multidrop deliveries to commercial and residential premises
- Carry out vehicle checks in line with DVSA requirements and report defects
- Load and unload goods safely, following manual handling and health & safety regulations
- Ensure loads are secured correctly at all times
- Use tachograph equipment correctly and maintain accurate records
- Complete delivery paperwork and/or electronic Proof of Delivery (POD)
- Provide a professional, customer-focused service at each delivery point
- Communicate effectively with transport planners regarding delays or issues
Essential Requirements
- Valid Driver CPC
- Digital Tachograph Card
- Good knowledge of UK road networks (Shropshire & Mid Wales preferred)
- Physically fit and able to carry out manual handling duties
- Strong time management and communication skills
Desirable
- Previous multidrop delivery experience
- Familiarity with rural and narrow-road driving
