Insight Investment is looking for a Performance Manager to join the Performance team in London. In this role, you will lead and oversee the delivery of Fixed Income performance attribution, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and clarity in production, analysis and communication. You will provide strategic direction and guidance to the team, fostering best practices and continuous improvement.
Role Responsibilities:
- Manage and develop team members, providing coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to build capability and ensure delivery of high-quality outcomes.
- Lead and guide performance attribution delivery by ensuring clear, insightful explanations of Fixed Income performance figures to fund managers, while maintaining technical depth and accuracy.
- Oversee query resolution processes, ensuring thorough investigation and timely responses, while providing expert input on complex attribution issues.
- Foster strong, collaborative relationships with internal teams, stakeholders, and outsourced service providers, acting as a key liaison and escalation point.
- Engage consistently with Fixed Income fund managers, building trust and credibility through proactive communication and strategic support.
- Chair regular meetings with portfolio managers, gathering requirements, prioritising needs, and driving the implementation of tailored attribution solutions.
- Direct proactive analysis and monitoring of performance data, identifying anomalies, recommending enhancements, and championing efficiency improvements across processes.
Experience Required:
- Extensive expertise in Fixed Income performance attribution, including detailed knowledge of attribution models, underlying analytics, and calculation methodologies (e.g., yield curve shifts, spread changes, allocation and selection effects).
- Proven ability to lead and develop teams, providing coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to build technical capability and ensure delivery of high-quality outcomes.
- Demonstrated leadership in stakeholder engagement, chairing regular meetings with portfolio managers and senior stakeholders to gather requirements, prioritise initiatives, and drive tailored attribution solutions.
- Track record of managing end-to-end attribution processes, overseeing production, analysis, and communication of performance figures while maintaining hands-on technical involvement for complex issues.
- Strong relationship management skills, fostering collaboration across internal teams, external service providers, and fund managers to deliver strategic outcomes.
- Advanced technical proficiency, including Excel modelling and use of market-leading Fixed Income performance and attribution systems.
- Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills, with a proactive approach to identifying process improvements, driving efficiency, and resolving queries within agreed timeframes.
- Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to debug complex processes and methodologies.
- Operates with professionalism, integrity, and adaptability in dynamic environments.
