Insight Investment is looking for an Investment Analyst to join the Investments Team in London. This is a highly quantitative and technical role that requires someone who is hands-on. This role will be focused on analysing and recommending structured finance investments across the capital structure from Investment Grade debt to Unrated instruments.
Role Responsibilities
- Modelling and evaluating investment opportunities in bespoke transactions across a diverse opportunity set (CMBS, Speciality Finance, CLOs, RMBS, etc)
- Presenting findings to assist senior members of the team in making investment decisions
- Analysing investments daily
- Following markets daily
- Assisting senior members of the team with ad hoc tasks as required
- Liaise with internal stakeholders as required, including but not limited to: Compliance, Legal, Risk, Investment Committee
Experience Required
- 1-3 years experience working at an Analyst/ Associate level at an Asset Manager/Bank
- Highly quantitative and technical
- Strong interest in Financial Markets
- Degree qualified
- Strong investment analysis experience, with a background in the structured finance asset class preferred
- Experience in Excel Modelling / VBA
- Experience incorporating ESG factors into investment process
- Familiar with Bloomberg / Intex
- Execution and detail oriented
- Able to work well independently, and take direction as required
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Inquisitive and comfortable asking questions to achieve end results
