Location: Glassgow, UK (Remote)

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Windows Administrator to join our core infrastructure team. The candidate will be responsible for delivering and scaling enterprise-class Windows administration services. The role requires expertise in Microsoft Modern Desktop technologies along with strong skills in automation to improve efficiency, reliability, and scalability of services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage, configure, and support Windows Server and Microsoft Modern Desktop technologies (Intune, SCCM, Autopilot, Defender, Information Protection).
  • Administer and optimize on-prem Active Directory (AD), Group Policy Objects (GPOs), and user profile management.
  • Build, deploy, and maintain server/desktop images and support enterprise-level system build processes.
  • Lead automation initiatives for patching, deployment, and system management using PowerShell and other scripting tools.
  • Ensure compliance and security standards are enforced across all Windows platforms.
  • Integrate and manage Infoblox services for DNS, DHCP, and IPAM operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and execute a scalable service delivery roadmap.
  • Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and drive root cause analysis and permanent fixes.
  • Support business continuity and disaster recovery initiatives.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in implementation, configuration, support, and roadmap execution of:
  • Intune, SCCM, patching automation, PowerShell scripting
  • Expert knowledge of:
  • Active Directory (on-prem)
  • Group Policy Objects (GPOs)
  • Windows Server build, Imaging, and Deployment
  • Infoblox (DNS, DHCP, IPAM)
  • Microsoft Security & Compliance features, Intune, Autopilot
  • VMware expertise for virtualization management.

Good to Have

  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint and advanced threat protection capabilities.
  • Experience with Office 365 Applications (Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive).
  • Familiarity with Azure AD and cloud identity services.

Soft Skills

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Good communication skills for working with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proactive in driving automation and service improvements.
