The Global Unix Engineering team is responsible for defining and delivering a project to report on the UNIX and Linux Operating System (OS) vulnerabilities for the Bank. The aim is to enhance and support the in-house developed tool which identifies what packages and OS agents have vulnerabilities and correlate this against vendor release data and vulnerability metadata.
The project will involve:
- Working with an SQL database and data feeds to correlate vulnerability information
- Enhancing the service to publish data about vulnerability ownership, fix status and release date
- Building tools and interfaces for linking the data with other services in the bank
- Maintaining web portals to assist with the configuration definition and approval processes
- Coding in Perl, Python, Node.js, Go language, scripting, SQL, etc.
Your Skills and Experience:
- Perl development and testing skills
- Requirement gathering experience
- Experience of API definition
- Experience in front end web development including HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
- Experience of SQL, database tuning
