The Role
As a Salesforce Solution Architect, you will be the trusted technical advisor and leader for our Salesforce implementation. You will bridge the gap between business challenges and technical solutions, designing scalable, secure, and high-performing architectures on the Salesforce platform. This is a hands-on, leadership role that requires deep technical expertise, strategic vision, and excellent communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Design & Architecture (40%)
- Lead the end-to-end architecture and design of complex Salesforce solutions, ensuring they align with business goals, are scalable, and adhere to best practices.
- Create and present comprehensive architecture deliverables, including solution design documents, technical architecture diagrams, data models, and integration specifications.
- Evaluate and recommend AppExchange products and other third-party tools to extend platform functionality.
- Define and govern the platform\’s technical and security architecture, including identity and access management, data sharing, and compliance.
Technical Leadership & Strategy (30%)
- Provide expert guidance to development teams, business analysts, and administrators on platform capabilities, limits, and design patterns.
- Conduct architecture reviews and code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to defined standards.
- Own and manage the technical debt and platform health.
- Stay current with new Salesforce features and technologies, assessing their applicability to our business needs.
- Develop and maintain a 12-18 month technical roadmap for the Salesforce platform.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Discovery (30%)
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, including C-level executives, to understand and translate complex business requirements into technical solutions.
- Lead discovery and requirements-gathering workshops, challenging assumptions and uncovering hidden needs.
- Clearly articulate design options, trade-offs, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Work with project managers to estimate effort, identify risks, and define technical phases and milestones.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Certifications:
- Must Have: Salesforce Certified Application Architect
or
System Architect. - Strongly Preferred: Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (or on the path to achieving it).
- Experience:
- 8+ years of experience in the Salesforce ecosystem, with a proven track record in architecture roles.
- Hands-on experience with at least 3+ full-lifecycle Salesforce implementations (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, etc.).
- Deep, hands-on expertise in Apex, Lightning Web Components, and declarative automation tools (Flow, Process Builder).
- Extensive experience designing and architecting complex integration patterns (REST/SOAP APIs, middleware like MuleSoft) and data migration strategies.
- Strong understanding of key architectural concepts: governance, identity, security, and platform limits.
- Skills:
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically.
