  • Service Now Principal Technical Consultant - Skill Requirements
  • Deep technical expertise in the Service Now platform, including architecture, configuration, and development best practices for enterprise implementations.
  • Strong hands-on development capability across the Service Now platform, including:
  • Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts
  • UI Policies, UI Actions, ACLs
  • Server-side and client-side scripting patterns
  • Debugging and troubleshooting using Script Tracer, breakpoints, log points, and system logs
  • Extensive experience designing and implementing Flow Designer-based automation, including:
  • Creating flows, subflows, and reusable actions
  • Implementing approval flows and workflow orchestration
  • Converting legacy Workflow Editor workflows to Flow Designer

• Strong implementation experience with Service Catalog, including

  • Catalog items and request fulfillment processes
  • Variables and variable sets
  • Catalog client scripts and UI policies
  • Catalog approval workflows and Flow Designer integration
  • Experience designing and implementing integrations using Service Now native capabilities, including:
  • Integration Hub
  • REST and SOAP integrations
  • OAuth authentication
  • Integrations with enterprise platforms such as Microsoft services
  • Experience configuring and extending Service Now user interfaces, including:
  • Service Portal configuration and customization
  • Widget configuration and portal layout development or domain-separated deployments
  • Experience designing and extending scoped applications, including development of custom scoped applications and extending out-of-the-box scoped applications such as HRSD.
  • Familiarity with Service Now implementation documentation and platform guidance, including resources such as the CSM Implementation Guide. (NOTE: This can be supported by the Engagement Manager)
  • Service Now certifications preferred, including CSA, CAD, CIS-ITSM, and CIS-CSM, with experience delivering enterprise scale implementations.
