Job Description:
Responsibilities:
- Working with global clients as part of our KX consulting practice on high-frequency, low-latency projects with Big Data.
- Applying KX technology to support a wide range of use cases including trading, risk, surveillance, etc., at the largest investment banks and hedge funds.
- Operating as a Subject Matter Expert for KX product installs and customizations.
- Creating functionality for users to access and query data efficiently.
- Contributing to all aspects of the software development life cycle, including influencing overall design and architecture, developing code, carrying out testing, and deploying applications.
- Interacting with users to understand business requirements and integration needs, and providing support.
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:
- 3+ years working in a software engineering/development role using kdb+/g.
- Strong academic background in engineering, mathematics, science, technology, or quantitative finance.
- Deep understanding and experience implementing and customizing kdb+ Tick architectures.
- Demonstrated track record of developing successful software solutions.
- Implemented testing frameworks for KX applications.
- Understanding of various software development methodologies and experience with modern deployment tools.
- Experience with Python, Java, and main public cloud vendors is a benefit.
- Self-starter who is proactive and driven, with a passion for learning new tools and technologies.
